was formed because we wanted to show our art together at low or no cost.We recognize that the art show process can get expensive. Not all artists are members of an art organization which makes it difficult to have access to art opportunities. Plus, membership, show and sales commission fees all take a bite out of an artist's budget.

Without the support of like minded friends, it can be tedius or difficult to get your art out to be seen, shared and sold.

Our hope is that by connecting to other artists and expanding our circle of participants, we will be able to find more places to show our art, which benefits everyone. The community has opportunities to view and purchase great art from dedicated local artists, the location has many people visiting their location to see great art, and the artists get exposure in the community, as well as, to their audience and following. It's a win/win all the way around.

What do we ask when you join Broads With Brushes?

• We ask that you look for one location for us to show our art as a group, according to the guidelines of what we need to have in a location. You will be the liaison for that show, with our help, of course. Book it, make the necessary arrangements and be there to help set up and take it down. We'll all be there; you're never on your own.

• Respond to emails when we need everyone's opinion or decision, follow through on agreed upon logistics, participate as much as you are comfortable participating.

• Be responsible for bringing and picking up your own paintings.

• Have enough paintings to show. We may have you show 15 paintings at one location or only 3 paintings at another, and sometimes we'll have shows at more than one location in a month, but that's ok, right? No matter what, you'll always be able to participate.

NOTE: We reserve the right to not accept a potential member. We don't know of a reason why that might ever happen but we thought it prudent to put that in there. We work on a consensus basis and it's important to us that the group remains harmonious.  We strive to strike a fair balance and maintain harmony and positive energy.
