Pat is a casual guest here at Broads With Brushes and we're happy to have her!
 
My philosophy regarding my work is to be inspired by what I see, be it nature, a still life or portrait to be, and to create my interpretation in what I hope is a painterly way.  I also hope my paintings make the viewer happy, thoughtful or jog a memory of the near or distant past. I think art should speak to the viewer and take him or her to another place of his or her own.  Seeing something "new" in the same painting is always a wondrous discovery.
